  • What is MySkinClinic.ca?
    MySkinClinic.ca is an asynchronous telemedicine platform where you can arrange online review with a licenced Canadian doctor for lifestyle skin conditions. Following your online skin assessment, a personalized skin treatment plan is formulated to help meet your skin goals. Medication is shipped directly to you.
  • How Does It Work?
    Complete the simple online consultation at a time that is convenient to you. Your medical profile will be assessed by a healthcare professional and a personalized treatment plan created which is tailored to your skin needs. If approved, we will send the prescription to the pharmacy and they will arrange delivery.
  • Who Can Use MySkinClinic.ca?
    Anyone 18 years of age or older and is located and has a mailing address in Ontario. We are in the process of expanding to other Canadian provinces and territories.
  • Is this legal and safe?
    Yes! You will be assessed a licenced medical doctor and the prescription filled by a registered pharmacist- the same as if you were at a hospital, doctors office or clinic. Our assessments have been crafted by our medical team who regularly treat these conditions.
  • Do I require an online consult prior to a prescription?
    Yes. Your treatment plan is personalized for your skin following the online assessment. A licenced physician will review your assessment and formulate your skin plan.
  • Do I need to complete my online assessment at a scheduled time?
    No. Please complete it at a time convenient for you and it will be assessed by our medical team. MySkinClinic.ca uses an asynchronous assessment model- meaning you can complete the assessment at any time that works for you!
  • How quickly will my assessment be reviewed?
    We aim to have a member of our medical team review your online assessment and get back to you within 1 business day.
  • Can I pick up my medication from my own pharmacy?
    Yes! You are free to request we send your prescription to a pharmacy of your choice. The option of where you would like us to send a prescription is part of the assessment so please provide your preferred pharmacy's contact information. Note- we cannot guarantee prices of medication and ability to prepare these medications in pharmacies out width our network.
  • How do I renew my prescription?
    You will receive an email every 6-12 months. This will link you to complete a few questions to ensure your situation hasn't changed and the treatment is effective. Following completion and medical review, your prescription can be renewed.
  • How much is the online visit?
    The cost of the initial consultation is $40, but only if you are approved for treatment by your healthcare provider. The fee includes the initial visit and ongoing support for up to a year for most conditions. Written prescriptions to pharmacies are included in the fee. Medication cost is separate and is paid to the pharmacy.
  • Do you accept provincial payment plans for the visit (eg, OHIP, MSP, ACHIP, etc)
    No. Asynchronous telemedicine and telemedicine for cosmetic services are generally not covered by provincial payment plans.
  • Who are the healthcare practitioners reviewing my assessment?
    They are all licenced healthcare practitioners in the province you are being assessed. They are the ones who review your assessment and will formulate your personal treatment plan. It is likely it will be a licenced family doctor.
  • Does MySkinClinic.ca replace your regular doctor?
    No. Our service provides a rapid, hassle free option to manage lifestyle skin conditions. For other medical matters, please arrange to see your regular healthcare team.
  • Do I need to speak to a healthcare provider?
    Many of our community appreciate the flexibility and convivence of asynchronous telemedicine. The medical questionnaire can be completed at a time and pace that works for you. The information provided is normally sufficient to formulate your treatment plan, but if further information is needed, we will contact you via our secure messaging system. If you prefer to speak with a doctor in person, we encourage you to book in with your regular healthcare team as MySkinClinic.ca may not be the right fit for you.
  • Is my information private and secure?
    We take your privacy seriously and personal health information remains confidential. All personal health information, credit card information is stored safely and securely. We have taken security measures and comply with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) in Ontario. Please see our privacy policy for further information.
  • How do I cancel my prescription or update my payment method?
    These are done with the pharmacy directly. Please contact your preferred pharmacy to arrange.
  • What is your refund policy?
    In the case a prescription is not suitable for yourself or you are declined a prescription at your initial visit, you will be offered a full refund for the initial consult. Prescription medicines cannot be refunded once they are shipped.
